By Alison Wolf As the last few drops of winter trickle through, the growth of Spring is fully apparent. The first flowers are starting to bloom, and the soil is greening more and more with each passing day. Now is a great time to plant a trinity garden. What is a trinity garden? Well, it’s something I'd been doing long before I chose a name for it. It is the practice of cultivating a lifestyle based on Mind, Body, & Spirit. You plant seeds of growth and change physically, mentally, and spiritually. I choose a theme each year for my gardens. I use the theme as a point of focus to keep me from running amok. Before I make any decisions, I ask myself, does this support my theme? If it does, great, if it doesn’t then I pass. This year’s theme is “peace & tranquility”.I will cultivate peace& tranquility mentally by maintaining strong boundaries and being mindful of who I share my energies with. I will cultivate peace & tranquility physically by accepting my body as it is today and appreciating all it does for me, and I will stop admonishing it for not being able to do something I may have done yesterday. I will cultivate peace & tranquility in my spirit by making time for spiritual self-care and recognizing when I need to withdraw and recharge. Of course, I will also plant a few things in special places to represent and reinforce these thoughts. What will you plant?
