Herbal Mojo Bags!

for Healing by Shelley Constable

Herbs have enormous magickal energy, as they hold the Earth’s energy within them. Each herb has unique properties that can enhance one’s magickal goals. Herbs also may have medicinal properties. The practitioner can draw upon either aspect when performing a spell.

When making a Healing Spell Bag the practitioner needs to have knowledge of the herbs, stones, symbols, etc. that should be used to go in the bag.

Herbal Healing Spell bags are filled with things that have a sympathetic energy to the person and whatever ails them.

A knowledge of correspondences, herbs, stones & magickal practices is a necessary study for any magickal practitioner.

A healing spell bag should be made from Yellow or White material.

Dried Herbs; You can choose which herbs you add, I'd suggest any of the following, Catnip, Chamomile, Coltsfoot, Plantain, Ginger, Cayenne, Comfrey, Garlic, Lobelia, Sage, Rosemary & Time.

Crystals & Gemstones; You can choose which stones to add, or don't add any, the choice is your's. I'd suggest any of the following, Agate, Amethyst, Cat's eye, Hematite, Jasper, Peridot, Sapphire, Sunstone, Topaz or Turquoise.

Stones: Never discount river stones either. Stones that have been collected from Leylines or faerie mounds hold great power & energy. Also stones that are collected from a person's garden, someplace they loved to visit, or a stone they held often, are all very effective when added to a Healing Spell Bag.

A picture of the person the bag is for is sometimes added as well.

Other symbolic items are sometimes added as well. Petrified wood is very popular in Healing Spell Bags because it brings a Healing energy.

Also sulphur is often added. Sulfur Powder is also sometimes referred to as a sulfur flour and it is ground from much larger sulfur mineral rocks or boulders.

Sulfur is related to the Elemental Fire, and because it is a Fire Stone, it also associates it with the Sun and Saturn; and therefore healing.
